All rates on the websites are per room per night stay and the number of guests cannot exceed the number of designated number (single- 1 person, double, twin- max 2 people, triple, junior family, family- max 3 people, quadruple- max 4 people).

Our best rates are available with the hotel directly and on our website.

Bookings cannot be made unless a credit/debit card has been provided to secure the room.

All major credit cards are accepted including American Express, Visa, Master Card, Switch and Delta.

Please note that the card used for payment needs to be presented on arrival to validate your booking.

Yes. The Darlington Hyde Park Hotel site is a secure site, so all the details entered as part of your booking are stored safely.

We can issue an invoice for your stay on your departure or we can send it over to you via e-mail.

A valid credit/debit card is required at the time of making a reservation, to be used as a guarantee against a late cancellation or a no-show.

Pre-authorised - information provided by banks verifying that credit card exists and the account details are valid with the first night’s accommodation rate available as per cancellation procedures.

A pre-authorisation will be placed on that credit/debit card for the value of the first night's stay 7 days prior to your arrival date.

The pre-authorised amount will then be completed as credit towards the total cost of the reservation upon arrival (as long as the same card is presented and used for the payment) when the full payment will be collected.

The hotel does not provide a car park.

There are several National Car Parks (NCP) locally, the closest being around Paddington Station, Edgware Road and Lancaster Gate.

We do not accept big groups. We can accept a party of 4 to 6 rooms, the cancellation policy for this booking will change to 1 week prior arrival. Please contact our front desk via e-mail and we will be more than happy to deal with your enquiry.

We do not. The whole hotel and all rooms are completely non-smoking. If you light up or vape inside the hotel we must charge a £200 smoking fee to your card, to cover for our special deep cleaning costs.

They are not, only service and guiding dogs are allowed in the property.

We provide complimentary Wi- Fi in our public areas and most of our rooms should receive the signal. Due to the size and thickness of some of the building’s walls we cannot guarantee a perfect signal in every room. Please be aware that our staff are not qualified to configure computer equipment and the Hotel cannot accept any liability should your hardware not be able to connect to our system.

Yes, depending on demand and season. You’ll get the best rates the more in advance you book and if you book directly with the hotel.

Reception is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Should you require any assistance during your stay and the receptionist is away from the desk you can call a member of staff from the reception with the help of Alexa. Alexa can also give you information all you have to do is to ask. 

We accept only Pound Sterling (£ GBP).

From Heathrow: You can take Heathrow Express train from the airport to Paddington Station, the journey lasts around 15-20 mins. Alternatively you can take the Underground Piccadilly Line to Earl’s Court and from there District Line to Paddington (journey time about 1 hour).

From Stansted: You can take Stansted Express train to Liverpool Street Station and then Underground Central Line train to Lancaster Gate or to Oxford Circus where you can change to Bakerloo Line to get to Paddington. Alternatively, you can take a National Express Coach from the airport to Paddington. The whole journey by trains would take approximately 1- 1.5 hours and the journey by coach would take about 1.5- 2 hours.

From Gatwick: You can take Gatwick Express or Great Western Railway train from the airport to Victoria Station and then Underground Circle Line to Paddington. Alternatively, you can take a National Express coach from the airport to Victoria Station. The journey by trains would take 1.5- 2 hours and the journey by coach would take about 2- 2.5 hours.

From Luton: You can take Thameslink train to Kings Cross/ St Pancras Station and then take Circle or Hammersmith & City Line to Paddington Station. Alternatively, you can take National Express coach to Paddington. The journey by trains would take 1.5- 2 hours and the journey by coach would take 2- 2.5 hours.

From London City: You can take DLR Line from the airport to Bank Station and from there take the Central Line to Paddington Station. The journey would take about 45 mins- 1 hour.

We do not offer any airport shuttles.

All these destinations are easily accessible from the hotel, some of them on foot.

We can supply a crib (to be booked in advance) which is only suitable for a baby up to 2 years old. Any child over 2 years has to have their own bed. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to occupy a room on their own.

We don’t have meeting rooms in our hotel.

You’ll find our reception open/ manned 24 hours so there is always someone there to help. Should you require any assistance during your stay and the receptionist is away from the desk you can call a member of staff from the reception with the help of Alexa. The Darlington Hyde Park is located on Sussex Gardens in Paddington, Hyde Park area of London, less than a 5-minute walk from the Heathrow Express terminal at Paddington Station.

When leaving Paddington Station you need to leave towards the main exit (Praed Street), walk to the top of the road, you will see an Aberdeen Steak house on the corner. Walk down this street which is called London Street to the traffic lights, turn left and this will bring you on to Sussex Gardens. The Darlington Hyde Park is one block up on the right.

We do not. We only serve our lovely breakfast. Breakfast is served every morning in our light and airy hotel breakfast conservatory, where guests may help themselves to the continental buffet and order one of our famous freshly cooked traditional hot English breakfasts.

Full English Breakfast is inclusive for guests who booked the room directly with the hotel and on the hotel website. For non direct bookings, Full English Breakfast is available to purchase at extra GBP 12.50 per person.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 9:30am (Monday to Friday) and 07:30 to 10:00am (at weekends and Bank Holidays).

Paddington area is full of small cafes, restaurants and pubs where you can enjoy great food and drinks.

The continental buffet has an array of cereals, fresh fruits, juices and yoghurts to choose from. Croissants and toasts with mixed fruit jams, cheese, salami and ham are also served together with fresh percolated coffee or English tea.

Full English breakfast consists of English sausage, bacon, eggs with grilled tomatoes and baked beans, all freshly cooked to order.

You can store your luggage with us in the morning on the day of your arrival and come back anytime after 2 pm to check in. Also, on the day of your departure which is by 11 am, you can leave your luggage with us until 6 pm on that day.

WE DO NOT STORE LUGGAGE OVERNIGHT.

Yes, we do have standard adapters available for you to use. Please do ask at the desk during your stay and you can borrow one. A deposit may be required to ensure that they are returned safely. We also have USB sockets in every room.

Junior family room (on some websites called Comfort family room) can accommodate 3 people and has 1 double bed and 1 single bed, all in one room.

Family rooms are also for 3 people and have 1 double bed and 1 single bed but have 2 separate rooms and en- suite bathroom.
